Today I'm Listening To...

This week I've got that 'Flashback Feeling' and can't stop listening to the golden oldies on my ipod - but there's also a few sneaky newbies who have creeped their way onto my 'Recently Added'...

Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Speedwagon
(Belted it out in the shower this morning - enough said.)

Working My Way Back To You - The Spinners
(The epitome of funky! Makes me wanna dance in a highly embarassing fashion...as a big Four Seasons fan my choice of this 1979 cover is slightly contentious but I might even go as far to say I prefer it?!)

Dance Magic Dance - David Bowie
(I may not be a true 80s kid, but I can say that if I had a time machine then that'd be the first decade I'd be jetting back to. This song from the 1986 classic movie 'Labyrinth' is one of my firm favourites. Bowie is too cool for words (with the exception of the blatant cocaine innuendos in the video obviously) & his voice is gorgeous...I am proud to be able to quote the entire opening section to this song...'you remind me of the babe...)

Black Heart - Stooshe
(And here it is, my preferential newbie of the week...what a tune! The lyrics are contro-bloody-versial to say the least - if you so much as mishear one word then the song takes on an entirely different meaning. I'm gonna put it out there and say it could be percieved as pretty racist to some, but to me, its just a catchy song and 3 girls with great voices! Loving the chorus lyircs, think that most girls can probably associate with them.)
